Final works complete on DME solar-powered helium processing plant

Work is now complete at Desert Mountain Energy’s solar-powered helium processing plant in Arizona and secured its first customer.

The helium exploration firm said its first delivery will be going to an Arizona-based industrial gas supplier, which will receive a mixture of different final grades of helium ranging from low of 99.995% to a high of 99.99995%.

Desert Mountain Energy expects to work through various combinations of gas mixtures, concentrations, and final product purity levels over a 90-day period.

Robert Rohlfing, CEO of Desert Mountain Energy, said integrating helium sales as a vertically integrated primary producer of helium has been a long-term goal.
