Hypertherm adds to Powermax SYNC portfolio with new plasma cutter

US-based industrial cutting systems and software specialist Hypertherm has added to its Powermax SYNC portfolio, having announced the launch of a new plasma cutter.

Dubbed the Powermax45 SYNC, the plasma cutter is said to reduce training time with a single-piece cartridge. Additionally, the single-piece cartridge also eliminates operator error and simplifies operations.

Jeff Hluchyj, Powermax Product Manager at Hypertherm, said, “We are very pleased to bring the Powermax45 SYNC to the line of reliable plasma cutters.” He continued, “Our customers will find that the new plasma cutter will outlast and outperform just like its predecessor.”

The Powermax45 SYNC plasma cutter features advanced torch communication that automates setup to enhance cut quality and offers an easy setup for mechanised use with an optional CNC interface and FastConnect torch connection.

In addition to launching new products for the industry, Hypertherm is also committed to supporting up-and-coming welders to keep the marketplace strong.

Back in March, and for the tenth year in a row, Hypertherm said it was to offer 12 North American schools an air plasma system and in-person training.

The effort is part of Hypertherm’s Spark Something Great grant programme, which supports the next generation of welders and metal fabricators by making plasma cutting equipment and standardised instruction available in schools.

Hypertherm has already awarded systems to 88 schools.
