UK-based medical gas therapy technology developer BPR Medical has topped the Medilink Midlands Business Awards after winning the Outstanding Achievement Award for its use of a nitrous oxide (N2O) conversion unit.
Developed by Swedish partner company Medclair, the unit allows for the safe and sustainable delivery of gas and air – the most common method of pain relief used on the NHS.
A mixture of N2O and oxygen, gas and air is often delivered to expectant mothers during child birth.
