American water treatment specialist Pentair has reported its findings having joined forces with Finnish measurement company Vaisala as part of a study to explore the sustainability of Pentair’s biogas upgrading plants in the Netherlands.
Recognised as a key enabler of a low/zero-carbon future, biogas could play a pivotal role in decarbonising a range of industries.
To maximise its potential, biogas can be upgraded to biomethane and either injected directly into existing natural gas grids or harnessed as an environmentally friendly fuel for transportation.
