Under pressure: Why versatility is key to air gases at high pressure

Many applications in industry and the petrochemicals sector require compact compressors for high suction pressures and high volume flows. At the same time, customised solutions are also in demand.

For a long time, suppliers were unable to meet these needs – until companies such as Sauer Compressors developed the technologies to handle these characteristics.

The company’s SAUER 6000 series of high pressure compressors has a shaft power of up to 230 kW and are based on a flexible modular system. Despite the high volume flows, the classic plunger piston machines are very compact and therefore versatile. Lately, a magnetic coupling enables hermetic gastightness.
