The company was named one of the top three most attractive employers in the chemical industry and top 100 most attractive employers overall, as well as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) role model.

The two employer recognitions were bestowed upon Air Products by a group of Chinese university students majoring in natural sciences. In an annual Chinese Student Survey conducted by Universum, a global talent company specialising in employer branding in China, Air Products was selected as one of the top three most attractive employers in the chemical industry for the first time, and top 100 most attractive employers overall for the fifth consecutive year, leaping 47 positions from last year. The survey also revealed that, in the eyes of China’s post-95s talent, the company is highly associated with ‘commitment to diversity and inclusion’, ‘innovation’ and ‘enabling me to integrate personal interests in my schedule.’

This year, approximately 80,000 students in a variety of fields from 110 top universities across the country participated in the survey, with 152,328 individual evaluations of 233 employers.

In addition, Air products received the CSR role model honour for its good public image and outstanding community outreach efforts at the 6th China Finance Summit which was held on 19th-20th July in Beijing. It was among 15 winning companies selected from over 700 candidates by a judging panel based on company culture, social contribution, innovation capability, financial growth, brand influence and industry position.

The summit, co-organised by over 30 China mainstream media since 2012, is a platform for leaders and representatives from the governments, institutions, media and domestic and multinational companies to share business wisdom. Air Products has also received the Best Brand Image Award at the summit for the past three consecutive years.

Saw Choon Seong, China President, industrial Gases, at Air Products, said, “These prestigious recognitions are a good testimony to Air Products’ long-term commitment to China and a great achievement that all our employees here can feel proud of.”

He continued, “We have been serving the China market for 30 years and earned a reputation as a responsible corporate citizen. As China continues to drive sustainable growth in its 13th Five-Year Plan period, we will continue to support the fulfilment of the ‘Chinese Dream’ through talent development and more community efforts.”
