Woikoski, an industrial gas supply company, has been awarded the right to display the Key Flag symbol for its gases, in order to stress the Finnish origin of its products and services.
Key Flag Symbol
The accolade, awarded to the company on 2nd February 2016, marks them among the companies known to produce high-quality Finnish products, and ensures that consumers know the product or service has been produced in Finland.
The symbol will now be displayed for the following gases: oxygen (O2), nitrogen (N2), argon (Ar), hydrogen (H2) and carbon dioxide (CO2), as well as for Ar gas mixtures Awomix, Awodrop, SK-2, SK-18, SK-25, and SO-2.
The right to use the Key Flag symbol is awarded by the Key Flag committee upon application for a term of three years, and stipulates that the degree of domestic origin of the company is more than 80% - usually taking domestic ownership and headquarter locations into account.
Woikoski is Finland’s oldest industrial and medical gas supplier. The company started out in 1882 as a carbon black factory, which has now evolved into the coporation’s current form.
