Meritus Gas Partners has partnered with Advanced Gases & Equipment, a Californian distributor of packaged gases and welding supplies.
Serving the greater Sacramento area, Advanced Gases has three facilities: a gas production and distribution site and retail store in West Sacramento, and retail stores in Placerville and Jackson, California.
Mike Hamilton, Owner and President of Advanced Gases & Equipment, founded the company back in 2007 with his partner. However, after the unfortunate death of his partner in 2023, Hamilton had to decide about the future of the business.
He explained, “I considered continuing to operate the business as the sole owner, selling the business outright to a strategic acquirer, or partnering with Meritus. We elected to proceed with Meritus to preserve our company’s brand and legacy and to be a member of a larger, more diversified business.”
