Atlas Copco completes acquisition of MEISA in Mexico

Atlas Copco has successfully completed the acquisition of the vacuum-related assets and the brand of Mexican Montajes Electromecánicos e Ingeniería (MEISA).

Confirmed today (7th May), the purchase will see MEISA become part of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique service division within the Vacuum Technique business area.

MEISA has facilities in Queretaro and Monterrey, Mexico. With these locations, MEISA provides vacuum, pumps, and related services to industrial customers in Mexico.

As part of the acquisition, MEISA’s 52 employees will join Atlas Copco.

Atlas Copco first announced its plans to acquire MEISA in April. At the time, Geert Follens, President of Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique Business Area, said the purchase would strengthen its market presence in Mexico.
